Willian Wants to be at Chelsea until the Age of 40

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Willian stated that he would be glad to stay at the club until he is 40 years old and is currently in the process of discussing contract extensions.

“Everyone knows how much I love this club and how I like to play for Chelsea. If possible, I will stay here until I am 40 but football isn’t always like this,” he said.

The 31-year-old player’s contract will expire at the end of the season and he was widely reported to have been a target of Spanish club, Barcelona’s, transfer.

The Brazilian national team player’s performance has significantly increased in recent weeks, including when he scored two goals when he defeated Tottenham 2-0 last week.

Although free to pre-contract negotiations with clubs in January, Willian revealed that he had already begun speaking with Chelsea regarding his future.

“I want to stay (at Chelsea) because I like playing here. This is not just my decision, we have to decide together with the club. We have spoken several times.”

“I wish I could tell you that I will stay, but it is still uncertain.”
