Willian’s Hope to Survive at Chelsea
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Showing a desire to stay with Chelsea, Willian will not be back playing outside Europe shortly.
Willian joined Chelsea from Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013. He has defended the Blues in 304 matches in all competitions and scored 55 goals.
The player’s contract will expire this season. If there is no new offer from Chelsea, then Willian is free to negotiate with other clubs in January.
However, the player had no plans to leave Chelsea. He claimed to be comfortable at the club and wanted to extend his tenure. However, Willian is always rumored to be returning to Brazil, especially Corinthians.
“Of course when you talk about Corinthians, the club that launched me, I have great affection. But honestly, I’m not thinking of going back to Brazil. I think I can still compete in Europe. I have a market,” Willian said at Soccerway.
“I am very happy here at Chelsea. Of course, my contract at the end of the season is over. But I am happy at Chelsea and I plan to stay here,” Willian added.
Since joining Chelsea, Willian has won 2 English League titles, 1 FA Cup, 1 League Cup, and 1 Europa League.
In recent years, many clubs are interested in him, one of them Barcelona. However, the player chose to be loyal at Stamford Bridge.
