Withdrawal of Salary Cuts has made Serie A clubs Face War

DBasia.news – Hellas Verona President, Maurizio Setti, stated that the situation of the corona pandemic has made the Italian club face a state of war. Moreover, until now there has been no agreement between the players association with the club regarding salary deductions.
Negotiations between the Italian player association, AIC with the club and FIGC have so far failed to achieve a joint agreement related to salary cuts. The club intends to cut the player’s salary for 4 months, while the player only wants to cut his salary for 1 month.
Even so Setti have stated that Verona’s management and players would be have no problem in achieving an agreement on salary deductions.
“I believe there is no problem finding an agreement with players for that. Our position is very simple. At the moment we are in a state of war, so we need to sit together calmly, “said Setti.
Unlike the Fiorentina club who wanted the match this season to be completed. Setti said that Verona still hopes that this season’s matches will continue when the corona pandemic subsides.
“I hope to play again this season. Completing this season in a good way is a joy to the world’s population who are now fighting the corona virus, “he added.
“I hope this season will return smoothly and all life will be normal in the next few months,”
Meanwhile, FIGC president, Gabriele Gravina, said that the Serie A competition was likely to resume in September or October. But it all depends on the corona pandemic conditions in the Pizza country.
