Worried of Coronavirus, Schalke Players Asked to Provide Their Own Salt

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Schalke 04 coach David Wagner made an interesting rule. He asked his players to prepare their own salt and pepper.

David Wagner’s request is related to the quarantine period that Schalke will undergo. In the protocol set by the Bundesliga, all teams must quarantine their squad for seven days before the match takes place.

During quarantine at the hotel later, it is almost impossible for the hotel to provide salt and pepper. He also did not want his players to consume the food flavoring together for fear of contracting the corona virus.

“We do a lot of things that are well organized. I have come from one meeting to another. We focus on many details. We have to be in the hotel for quarantine for seven days before the match,” Wagner said to The Times, Sunday (05/10/2020).

“We also discussed salt and pepper. In the hotel there is no salt and pepper used for everyone. So each player must have their own salt and pepper so that lunch or dinner is not touched by others. All must be careful,” he continued.

As is known, the Bundesliga will be rolling again May 16 later. In the inaugural match after the corona virus, Schalke was confronted with a heavy opponent. They will play derby valley Ruhr against Borussia Dortmund in Signal Iduna Park.
