Xavi admits he can’t be free in the transfer market because of Barcelona’s finances

DBasia.news – Barcelona coach, Xavi Hernandez, commented on his team’s plans in the upcoming transfer market. Xavi reminded that Barca can’t go all out, considering their current financial problems.
Xavi has the task of bringing Barcelona back to compete in the highest caste. To do so, Xavi is believed to need new ammunition.
Unfortunately, Xavi did not come when Barcelona was victorious. Barca are entangled in a number of financial problems that must be resolved. Therefore, Barca cannot move freely in the transfer market.
“The club is trying to strengthen the team. If the way to do it is by bringing in new players, then someone has to leave,” Xavi said as reported by Metro.
“We will see the situation. What we can do. However, our financial situation is not great. So, we have to see how to deal with it,” explained Xavi.
One of the players who are reportedly targeted by Barcelona is Manchester United striker, Edinson Cavani. If they are patient until the summer of 2022, Los Cules might be able to obtain Cavani on a free transfer.
“I prefer to talk about the players I have at the moment. Even if we were to sign players in January, I would probably talk about the types of details we need in each position.”
“I will not talk about names at this time. I will only speak about the players we have today. Moreover, tomorrow there will be an important match,” said Xavi.
Next, Barcelona will face Real Betis in the 2021-2022 LaLiga continued match, at the Camp Nou Stadium, Saturday (4/12). Currently, Barca are fixated on the seventh position of the standings after collecting 23 points from 14 matches.
