Xavi and Barcelona were forced to let go of the La Liga title

“We have to improve a lot if we want to qualify for the Champions League. We made mistakes we shouldn’t have done,” Xavi said after the game.

“We have to be a more competitive team. I consider myself the most responsible person and I will talk to my players.”

Barcelona’s opportunity to finish in the top four is still wide open. However, Xavi must immediately fix the mentality of his players so that they can get back to their winning ways quickly.

“We have to be humble because we haven’t achieved anything. We have to step up our game to qualify for the Champions League,” he added.

“When we won 4-0 at the Bernabéu, it makes sense to say things like Barca are back. I’m saying now that we made mistakes, we have to have more belief and desire.”
