Xavi Denies Sergio Aguero’s Retirement News

DBasia.news – The new coach of Barcelona, Xavi Hernandez, also commented on the issue of the retirement of Barca striker Sergio Aguero because there is a problem with his heart. He hasn’t even been told about it.

Xavi made his debut as Barca coach when they won the Catalunya derby against Espanyol 1-0 in the LaLiga match on Sunday (21/11). In that match Barca looked short of stock center attackers.

Despite having Luuk de Jong, Xavi prefers Memphis Depay who incidentally is not a center forward as a central striker. De Jong allegedly did not match the football that Xavi wanted to play.

Meanwhile, the new strikers who arrived such as Martin Braithwaite and Sergio Aguero were injured. The last name is worse, there is news that Aguero will retire due to heart problems.

The 33-year-old striker was substituted in the 1-1 draw between Barca and Deportivo Alaves in October. Aguero was dizzy and felt pain in his chest until he was taken to the hospital. The club confirmed his recovery will take at least three months.

However, news emerged of Aguero retiring due to his illness. Xavi responded and denied it, because he was not told anything about the news.

“I don’t know anything, I spoke to him (Aguero) the other day and the news that came out about him was not true,” said Xavi. “We don’t have that kind of information, I don’t know where it came from.”

“He’s calm. I told him to come to me when he gets better. It’s a medical problem. We’ll have to wait and see.”

Previously, the issue of Aguero’s retirement was also getting busier after his former teammate at Manchester City, Samir Nasri seemed to confirm the news.

“He (Aguero) has given me a message and unfortunately, it was confirmed. I am very sad because apart from seeing a player that many people already know, he is a very nice guy. It was not an option but unfortunately it had to happen. I know he loves the sport and I’m really sad,” said Nasri.
