Xavi dismisses rumors of Barcelona wanting to sign Dybala
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Barcelona coach, Xavi Hernandez, reportedly rejected the plan to bring in Juventus striker, Paulo Dybala. Xavi feels Dybala is not as good as he thinks.
Juventus and Paulo Dybala are headed for the exit . With a contract that will expire in the summer of 2022, Juve and Dybala have also not agreed on a new term of service. Reportedly, the contract value is the main cause.
Initially, Dybala and Juventus had agreed on a salary of €8 million per season plus a bonus of €2 million. However, Juve canceled the agreement and chose to offer a wage of €7.5 million. Dybala, who felt betrayed, refused to sign.
The steps taken by Juve are understandable as the Bianconeri are making savings.
As a result, the Argentine national team striker is a free transfer next season. Several clubs such as Inter, Napoli, PSG, Tottenham Hotspur, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in signing him.
In addition to the clubs above, Barcelona have also been linked with Dybala. The striker entered Barcelona’s criteria from a financial point of view. Because, signing Dybala means Barca only need to pay the player’s salary.
However, El Nacional newspaper reported that Xavi did not agree with the plan to sign Dybala. According to him, Dybala is not as good as imagined. In addition, he thinks Dybala will not be suitable for the tactics he wants to use at Barcelona.
That way, Barcelona will withdraw from the hunt for Dybala. The Blaugrana are believed to prioritize the permanent signing of Adama Traore if his performances continue to climb until the end of the season.
