Xavi Hernandez receives support from Iniesta to immediately handle Barcelona
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta has defended former team-mate Xavi Hernandez to take charge of Los Cules in the near future.
Since last season, Xavi Hernandez’s name has actually been linked to Barcelona’s coaching position
But the current Blaugrana President, Joan Laporta, still entrusts the position to Ronald Koeman.
Unfortunately, despite Koeman’s success in presenting the Copa del Rey trophy last season, the Dutch manager’s seat has been rocked again this season following a series of poor results received by the Blaugrana.
This is what then made Xavi’s name resurfaced to replace Koeman’s post at the Camp Nou Stadium.
As a former team-mate, Andres Iniesta welcomed the rumors of Xavi’s appointment as the new coach of Barca.
He was sure that Xavi already had a decent quality to handle Frenkie De Jong and his team mates.
“I think he is ready,” Iniesta said of the rumors of Xavi’s appointment to Sport.
“I can already imagine him sitting in the Barca coaching chair.”
“He has prepared everything to become Barca’s coach and he also has good confidence to take up the challenge,” concluded the Vissel Kobe midfielder.
Since deciding to retire in 2019, Xavi immediately started his coaching career by managing the Qatari team, Al Sadd.
Under Xavi’s tutelage, Al Sadd won 6 domestic trophies and once penetrated the semifinals of the Asian Champions League.
