Xavi Isn’t Ready to Handle Barcelona

DBasia.news – Barcelona former captain Xavi Hernandez admits that he isn’t ready to be the coach of his former club. He asks the public to wait for his development as a coach.
Xavi is currently playing in Qatar club, Al Sadd, which he supported since summer 2015 while joining the coaching course at the same time.
The midfielder explained that he hasn’t finished the coaching course. That’s probably the reason why the 38-year-old player postponed his retirement from football until the end of 2017/2018.
“Now I can coach in small countries, but next year, in May, I hope to get the UEFA Pro license to be able to coach any team,” he said.
Xavi was pressured with expectation for a long time, but he refused to be compared to Guardiola, who is known as one of the best coaches in the world by his achievements with Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City.
“As a player, it was the same, people expect things from me prematurely, like when I was said to be the ‘new Guardiola’ and I still don’t see it,” he added.
“Now it’s the same, I do not see myself as a fully-formed coach yet. We must be patient.”
