DBasia.news –  Zinedine Zidane, as coach of Real Madrid, acknowledged the difficulty of motivating his team. That happened because Los Merengues no longer had the chance to win the trophy this season.

Real Madrid won 3-2 when entertaining Huesca at the Santiago Bernabeu in the follow-up match for the 2018-2019, Sunday (31/3). Los Blancos almost failed to win.

Real Madrid were left behind by Juan Camilo Hernandez’s goal when the match went on for three minutes. The home team only reacted through Isco’s goal in the 25th minute.

Real Madrid’s additional goal was created thanks to Dani Ceballos (62 ‘) and Karim Benzema (89’). While Xabi Etxeita (74 ‘) added to Huesca’s goal.

After the match, Zinedine Zidane claimed to have difficulty motivating Real Madrid players. However, Zidane tried his best to do it.

“In a team like Real Madrid, it’s difficult to maintain motivation when you know you won’t win the trophy. Especially in a few moments in each match,” said Zinedine Zidane.

“Even so, this is normal. All Real Madrid players are professional. We will try to end the season at the highest position.”

“Every player has his own motivation. However, maybe this is Karim Benzema’s best season. I will rely on him in the rest of the game,” added Zinedine Zidane.

This time, Real Madrid ranked third in LaLiga’s standings. Los Merengues collected 57 points, 12 points behind Barcelona at the top.
