12 LaLiga Goals, Worst Real Madrid’s Statistic in A Decade

DBasia.news – There might be something wrong with Real Madrid. No wonder, as the defending winner of Champions League, Julen Lopetegui squad just scored one goal in three recent matches.
The fact is, Los Blancos haven’t celebrated any goal since Marco Asensio scored Espanyol’s net at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. Now, the goal-draught record of Karim Benzema and friends is reaching 299 minutes. Lopetegui starts to worry.
The statistic won’t like. Comparing Madrid’s goal in seven matches of LaLiga in recent 10 years, the total goal in a 2018-2019 season is the worst.
Statistically, the team just scored 12 goals, one less goal compared to last season. But this number is 13 goals away from the 2014-2015 season when the attacking line of Madrid was considered as the most amazing one.
Lopetegui must be confused due to another fact following the lack of goal statistic. It’s Madrid’s struggle to create the goal opportunity.
Now, the total kick to the net of Madrid is drastically decreasing compared to the previous season, also the lowest in recent 10 years. In the 2018-2019 season, Madrid just created 45 kicks, 39 of them to the net.

Certainly, the absence of Ronaldo also contributes to the poor statistic mentioned above. The average kick to the net in LaLiga for 7 matches is supposed to be 20 for each match.
The only thing that makes Lopetegui smiles is the 12 goals in LaLiga this season isn’t the worst achievement of the team. Under Fabio Capello in 2006-2007, Madrid felt the much worse period: 10 goals.
At that time, the team just finished in the fourth position under Barcelona, Valencia, and Sevilla. If Lopetegui gets the same result this season, perhaps his position as the coach will be withdrawn by the management.
