After Ronaldo, Juventus Aims Two World’s Best Central Defenders

By news-admin

DBasia.news – Juventus desire and ambition to win the Champions League title previously achieved in 1996 is so big in this season. Especially after buying Mattia Perin, Emre Can, Joao Cancelo, and the megastar, Cristiano Ronaldo.

After finishing the transfer saga of Ronaldo worth €100M and an additional €12M, Juve is now focusing to the defensive line. Two high profile players aimed by Bianconeri are Diego Godin and Juan Bernat.

Juve needs an additional player for the defensive line. Stephan Lichtsteiner and Kwadwo Asamoah left Juve, and also Daniele Rugani potentially would do the same. While Medhi Benatia hasn’t extended his contract and Benedikt Howedes returned to Schalke, after the loan period was over.

Alex Sandro is also demanded by Europe to clubs. If he stays, Sandro will be the only player in the left back defensive line. That’s why, according to AS (12/7), Juventus wants Bernat who seldom plays in Bayern Munchen.

While for Godin, his contract will be over next year with Atletico Madrid. He is 32 years old, so Juventus can buy him in the reasonable price tag. His experience and status as the world’s best defender will be a great value for Juventus.

Juve has Mattia Caldara and Giangiacomo Magnani as two additional ammunitions for this season. But, they don’t have the proper quality and experience to carry on the big responsibility in Juventus.

So, to add more power in the defensive line, is Juventus main priority during this summer transfer market, aiming for quadruple titles: Serie A, Coppa Italia, Italy Super Cup, and Champions League.
