Aidy Boothroyd Calls England Are Ready to Help Manchester United if They Recruit Wan-Bissaka

DBasia.news –  England Under-21 national team coach Aidy Boothroyd said that England and their coaching staff are willing to help Manchester United if they recruit Crystal Palace player Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Man United have submitted three offers to Palace for Wan-BIssaka. The first two offers were rejected, however, on the third offer according to British journalist Duncan Castles, The Eagles reportedly received a £ 55 million offer from United.

Although some other British media denied the deal, United’s care for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was still eyeing Wan-Bissaka because they did need a right-back after being left by Antonio Valencia.

Ashley Young never convinced playing in that position. Matteo Darmian has the chance to sell in the transfer market, while Diogo Dalot is still relatively young and has little experience in England. That is why United insists on bringing Wan-Bissaka.

Responding to the condition, Boothroyd, reflecting on the case of Jordan Pickford when he left Sunderland to Everton in 2017, said that England was ready to help United complete the Wan-Bissaka transfer if an agreement had been reached.

“It seems that (the Wan-Bissaka rumor) lasted quite a long time. We’ve had the same situation in Poland last time with Jordan Pickford, a lot of speculation,” said Boothroyd, quoted from Goal.

“Everton agreed to an agreement they had done very closely with us, they were very appreciative in terms of involvement in training sessions and preparation, in the end, the agreement was realized – with medical tests at the hotel.”

“If that happens (Wan-Bissaka to United) we obviously will not deter anyone, we will talk and see if we can help in any way, supporting the two clubs to be happy with him.”

Wan-Bissaka was indeed participating in the Under-21 European Cup with the England Under-21 national team. This new, Wan-Bissaka became a concern again after scoring an own goal and giving a 2-1 victory for the French Under-21 national team.

“He (Wan-Bissaka) is clearly disappointed with the own goal that was created. Along with the public chat around him, you can imagine if you and I were in that position, we could be very different from him,” said Boothroyd.

“He is very calm, he doesn’t say much, but if he plays in the next game, I expect the same focus, the same energy, and I hope he will rise again,” he concluded.
