DBasia.news – After winning the 2018-19 Champions League title, Liverpool are now looking positively at the new season and has the desire to win many trophies. This was expressed by the Reds midfielder, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Liverpool returned to being the top team in either domestic or European competition. Although with not many new players, the Reds squad is predicted to still be able to compete with other clubs.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain asserted, currently Liverpool are on a mission to add titles. To achieve this, the players have forgotten the euphoria after winning the Champions League title.
“I think it is clear that this team is developing. Although not displaying slick performance, we still get positive results. That is really a good thing,” explained Chamberlain as reported by the official Liverpool website.
“Our team is a group of very good players. We not only have talent, but character and concern for one another,” explained the player.
“The coaches, the staff, they are all an important part of our success. At present, the overall design and structure is very perfect,” he continued.
“Last year there were indications that we were moving towards a better direction, namely the Champions League trophy. Now, although it is strange, it is as if the title was never won.”
“I believes it is caused by the attitude of all the ambitious players to win the next title. It is a good attitude to keep going and try to be better,” Chamberlain said.
Liverpool will face a challenging match when they host Arsenal in the 2019-2020 Premier League match, at Anfield Stadium, Saturday (8/24). Currently, Mohamed Salah and his mates take first place with six points – the same amount as the Gunners.
