Alexis Sanchez Does Not Regret the Decision to Join Manchester United

DBasia.news –  Alexis Sanchez, Inter Milan striker, does not regret his decision to join Manchester United, even though he earned the nickname of a failed player there.

Sanchez, 30, left Man United this summer and joined Inter for a season on loan without a purchase option. The Chilean striker is expected to be able to find his best performance under the direction of Antonio Conte.

Given the large salary he received at Man United, amounting to 400,000 pounds per week, it was understandable that Sanchez’s performance was in the spotlight. Man United recruited him in January 2018 from Arsenal on a player barter scheme involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Sanchez only scored five goals in 45 matches with Man United. Cap failed to cling to him, however, Sanchez did not regret his decision to join Manchester United.

“I am very glad to move to Manchester United. I always say that. This is the club with the most titles in England,” Sanchez told BBC Sport.

“When I went to Arsenal it was fantastic – I was happy there – but United were also developing, they bought players to win things. I want to join them and win everything. I don’t regret going there.”

Contrary to his appearance in the Copa America with the Chile national team, Sanchez could not repeat it at Man United. He only appeared 31 times as a starter from the possibility of 77 matches for United and finished 13 matches.

“I think I am happy when I play for the national team. I am also happy at Manchester United, but I always say to my friends: I want to play,” added Sanchez. “If they allow me to play then I will do my best. Sometimes, I play for 60 minutes then I don’t play again in the next fight – and I don’t know why,” he added.
