Allegri’s Mentor Believes This Season Will Be The End Of His Adventure With Juventus

DBasia.news –  Giovanni Galeone, Massimiliano Allegri’s mentor, has confidence this season will be the last season Allegri coaches Juventus. Allegri has entered his fifth year of training  Bianconeri.

During the five years of training Juventus, Allegri successfully won four Scudetto, four Coppa Italia and two Italian Super Cups, and brought the team twice to tackle the Champions League final (2014-15 and 2016-17) – becoming the runner-up on two occasions.

This season is alleged to be Allegri’s last season. The former AC Milan coach was given the last chance by Juventus’ board of directors to present the Champions League title, which was last won in 1995-96.

The board of directors has helped Allegri by bringing Emre Can, Joao Cancelo, Leonardo Bonucci, Mattia Perin, and of course the superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, to actualize the dream of winning the Champions League title. Ronaldo has won it five times.

That’s why, if Allegri fails to win the Champions League title and then successfully grabs the Scudetto for the eighth time in a row, then his journey with Juve will end. Galeone also explained, that Allegri had previously refused an offer to join big Premier League clubs.

“Allegri is in the Premier League next season? I have said it for the past few years. I don’t know. In Italy, there is no club he can train anymore. No matter how the Champions League will end, I think Allegri’s adventure with Juve is over,” said Galeone, reported by Calciomercato.

“Last summer he was able to join Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United and Real Madrid. He refused their offer to win the Champions League with Juve. If he failed to do so it will not a big problem. He was not forced to win because there is Ronaldo.”

A tough challenge is in front of Allegri’s eyes. The Livorno born on August 11, 1967 was required to reverse the 0-2 aggregate goal against Atletico Madrid in the second leg of the last 16 Champions League, which will later take place in Turin.

“If Allegri wins the Champions League then he will dedicate it to (Arrigo) Sacchi. Juve must believe that they can qualify for the quarter-finals. Allegri must believe it so that he can prove to the media and football players will be of quality,” concluded Galeone.
