DBasia.news – Jose Mourinho is the target of Benfica recently. However, the former Manchester United manager denied it by saying that he doesn’t want to coach in Portugal.

Jose Mourinho got sacked from Manchester United after the series of negative results. Next, The Red Devils appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the interim manager until the end of the season.

However, Mourinho is still interesting for some Europe clubs. Benfica President Luis Felipe Vieira bluntly mentioned Mourinho as the main candidate to replace the former manager, Rui Vitoria.

“I am (Mourinho’s) friend. Who would not like to have Mourinho? (But) I have not talked to him,” Vieira said as cited by SIC.

“If he says yes tomorrow, he’ll be here at the drop of a hat. Money is no issue for Benfica,” said the President.

But, Mourinho admits that he isn’t tempted with Benfica’s offer. “I do not like feeding news stories, but I have no intention of working in Portugal,” Mourinho said cited by Correio de Manha.

“The best way to respect a great club (Benfica) and a great president is to say that I was not approached,” he emphasized.

Besides Benfica, Mourinho also has the chance to return to his former club, Inter Milan or Real Madrid. But, Mourinho won’t talk about that.

“It’s a tremendous honor when you return to a club where you’ve been, but I’m talking to you and I will not talk to anyone else,” Mourinho said.

“I’m not training, I love that I am not talked about all the time and the best way to ensure that remains the case is for me to not talk either.”
