DBasia.news – The human mind can change instantly in a matter of hours or days. No exception from Danish defender, Andreas Christensen, who has revoked his intention to leave Chelsea.
Christensen returned to Stamford Bridge in 2017 after two years playing at Borussia Monchengladbach as a loan player. In the Antonio Conte era, Christensen became the top choice in the formation of three defenders.
In the era of Maurizio Sarri, Christensen had difficulty competing in to play regularly as Sarri relied on Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz. But since Rudiger was injured, Sarri played Christensen frequently.
The 23-year-old defender is now no longer thinking about leaving Chelsea. Christensen wants to continue to grow with Chelsea, which he has strengthened from 2013.
“I don’t think about my future now and I didn’t do it before. I am happy to be in London and with the way the season develops, there is no reason to think about it again,” Christensen told Goal.
“I am only 23 years old, so it might be very wise to stay. It’s nice to have peace and calmness so I can concentrate on playing football. I am always happy here, but there are times when I want to play more.”
Christensen is also thrilled that Chelsea closed the 2018/19 season with the success of entering the Champions League zone and winning the 2018/19 Europa League.
“If I can play more in the future like I did in the spring, then that’s fine. The end of the season ends really well. I played a lot and we won trophies, so it can’t be better,” concluded Christensen.
