Antoine Griezmann Prepared for Barcelona’s Future

  DBasia.news –  Barcelona president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, admitted that the club had recruited Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid to be prepared for a long-term project.

Bartomeu revealed the reason behind the decision. According to him, his club had long planned to face the new era of Barcelona when Lionel Messi had not played. Also, Antoine Griezmann is a major part of the “Post-Messi Era” plan.

Barca realize, Messi will survive long until the end of his career. In addition, the megastar will no longer be able to always appear in every game.

Messi is currently 32 years old. Therefore Barca needs a figure to follow in his footsteps. Indeed, Messi will still be circulating in a few years, but he needs someone who can help him. And, that person is Griezmann.

“Griezmann is one of the five best players in the world. We know that. We have the opportunity to bring him in and we have no doubt,” Bartomeu told Radio Montecarlo as quoted by the International Goal.

“We also have to think about the post-Messi era. We must try to see the future with the world’s best players.”
