Three LaLiga clubs are ranked at the top of the list. Real Madrid became the most extravagant team in the summer transfer market in 2019 after spending a total of 305.5 million euros.
The second place became Real Madrid’s eternal rival, Barcelona, who paid 255 million euros. However, that number can still increase if they bring Neymar.
Atletico Madrid became the third most extravagant team. The Real Madrid city rivals poured 243.5 million euros during the 2019 summer transfer window.
However, in the top 10 list of the most extravagant teams, there are only two clubs that can profit. Both are Atletico Madrid and Juventus.
Atletico Madrid became the most profitable club after a 67.5 million euro surplus. Meanwhile, Juventus made 13 million euros in profit during the summer of 2019.
Interestingly, there is Aston Villa’s name on the list. Because the club based in Villa Park has just returned to the Premier League.
So far, the most expensive purchase during the 2019 summer transfer market is Joao Felix. The Portuguese player was bought by Atletico Madrid from Benfica for 126 million euros.
