DBasia.news – Atletico Madrid were not joking when they would bring the case of the transfer of Antoine Griezmann to Barcelona into the realm of law. They have strong evidence of fraud on the Griezmann transfer issue.
Antoine Griezmann has headed for Barcelona in the 2019 summer transfer window. The LaLiga champion made up for the player’s release clause which touched 120 million euros.
However, Griezmann’s move to Barcelona is believed to be fraught with fraud. Because Barcelona accused of deliberately stalling time so as not to spend more money.
Atletico Madrid considers Barcelona should pay Griezmann’s release clause before July 1, 2019. At that time, the active release clause on the Griezmann contract was worth 200 million euros.
El Mundo reported, Atletico Madrid’s director, Miguel Angel Gil Marin, had evidence in the form of a copy of an e-mail sent by Griezmann’s representative, Sevan Karian, to his father and brother of the French national team player.
The e-mail sent last March contained details of Barcelona’s offer to Griezmann. In addition, the e-mail also stated the amount of salary ready to be paid by El Barca.
The evidence will be used by Atletico Madrid as a weapon to attack Barcelona. Atletico Madrid wants to prove that Barcelona cheated on Griezmann’s transfer.
Earlier, LaLiga president, Javier Tebas, confirmed Atletico Madrid had given an objection to Griezmann’s transfer to Barcelona. The Spanish Football Federation is investigating to find a bright spot in the case.
Barcelona can get some penalties if found guilty. Barca can be asked to increase the transfer of money to reach 200 million euros. Another penalty is that the agreement is canceled.
