Barcelona Admits on Targeting Matthijs de Ligt

DBasia.news –  After successfully gaining Frenkie de Jong, Barcelona are now chasing his team mate Matthijs de Ligt. Barca President Josep Maria Bartomeu confirmed his interest in the tough defender.

De Jong and De Ligt are currently strengthening Ajax Amsterdam. But their togetherness will come to an end as the midfielder has been confirmed to leave Barcelona.

Not wanting to only get Frenkie de Jong, Bartomeu revealed that currently his team is also working on the arrival of De Ligt next June. However, he can only ensure this transfer can be realized in March or April.

“We have been following De Ligt for a long time. “That’s right because he’s a player we really like, but Barcelona also have other important players in the squad now,” Bartomeu said.
