Barcelona Are Really Dependent on Messi

DBasia.news – Barcelona surprisingly defeated 1-2 against Levante in the first leg of Copa del Rey against Levante at Ciutat de Valencia.
Levanto won 2-0 when the match hasn’t entered the first 20 minutes by the goal from Erick Cabaco and Real Madrid striker Borja Mayoral that could be countered by the penalty kick of Philippe Coutinho at 85′.
Barca’s hope persists to preserve the Copa del Rey title because there’s still the second leg at Camp Nou.
However, it’s an early warning for Barcelona. The first warning: Barcelona are really addictive of the Argentina megastar, Lionel Messi. Second warning: Ernesto Valverde couldn’t do the rotation by changing 90 percent of his players.
The dependence could be seen from two comparisons of matches against Levante than three weeks ago. In December, Barca won 5-0 and Messi scored the hattrick.
“I picked the best team I thought we could pick. It served us to evaluate players in some tough moments, like in a LaLiga game. I know it’s a risk, but you have to take risks a lot of the time,” Valverde said.
