DBasia.news –  The Barcelona squad regeneration project continues with focus: the defense area and the center of the game. As reported from the US, Barcelona is now eyeing Saul Niguez and preparing a large dowry to recruit him.

No half-hearte Barcelona has prepared a dowry of 110 million euros or approximately Rp 1 trillion to make Saul the world’s most expensive Spanish player. The price was less than 40 million euros from Saul’s purchase clause of 150 million euros.

24-year old Saul is considered to be an ideal player to strengthen Barcelona. Besides still being at a relatively young age, Saul can also be placed in many positions such as the front line, center, even though his original position is central midfield.

Regeneration of the center line, besides the back line, is Barcelona’s priority for next summer. Barcelona started by recruiting Frenkie de Jong from Ajax Amsterdam for 75 million, plus 11 million euros – making De Jong the world’s most expensive Dutch player.

Not to mention the ongoing negotiations to bring in Adrien Rabiot, whose contract ends with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), to come to Camp Nou. The update made by Barca opened the door to Ivan Rakitic’s departure.

The 30-year-old Croatian midfielder is in the middle of a crossing because he is reportedly interested in two European clubs: Bayern Munchen and Inter Milan. The Rakitic sales fund can be used by Barca to buy Saul, who was originally close to joining Barca in 2017.

It’s challenging yet easy. The situation often occurred to Atletico Madrid players who are linked to leave to other clubs. Atletico can defend the player, but can also release it if the prices put forward by other clubs are appropriate.

Saul is no exception. In the past, Atletico have sold the best players such as Diego Costa, Fernando Torres, Sergio Aguero, Radamel Falcao, Miranda and other top players.
