DBasia.news –  AC Milan maintained the momentum of victory against Atalanta in the Serie A match, as did Barcelona against Real Valladolid in LaLiga.

Starting from the match that took place at Atleti Azzurri d’Italia, Atalanta headquarters, Sunday (17/2) early morning hrs. Giornata 24 Serie A ended with a landslide 3-1 victory for the visitors over Atalanta.

The status of the giant killer of Atalanta this season seems to be well allerted by Gennaro Gattuso’s Rossoneri. Not wanting to repeat the same mistakes when playing in the first meeting, plus learning from the experience of the defeat of Inter Milan and Juventus, Milan responded well after trailing 0-1 from Remo Freuler’s goal on 33 minutes.

Polish striker Krzysztof Piatek continued his sharpness of scoring through the two goals he scored in minutes 45 + 1 and 61, adding to the coffers of his Serie A goal to 17 – one adrift of Cristiano Ronaldo who scored 18 goals.

Piatek won his duel with Atalanta striker, Duvan Zapata, who failed to score in that match. Another Milan goal was scored by Hakan Calhanoglu in the 55th minute.

Thanks to that victory, Milan are now attached to Inter Milan in third place with 42 points. Inter will fight Sampdoria in Week 24, Monday (18/02) at 00.00 a.m. WIB.

“The Milan team are currently enjoying themselves, enthusiastic players, happy together and practicing. We cannot lose it. After that, there are many qualities in the team, but most importantly all provided their quality for the team and it is crucial,” said Gattuso.

Meanwhile in LaLiga, Real Valladolid gave Barcelona difficulties at Camp Nou, Sunday (17/2) morning. Unexpectedly, Valladolid was able to frustrate Barca before the scoreboard changed in the 43rd minute.

Lionel Messi returns as the differentiator of the match through the goals he created. This time it’s not from an open game or free kick, but a penalty. It was the only goal created by 61 percent of Barca’s total possession versus 39 percent of Valladolid.

Barca fired 20 kicks and eight kicks were on target, however, was only able to score one goal from the spot because Valladolid played solidly, plus Jordi Masip, Valladolid’s former Barcelona goalkeeper, performed well to keep up his goal.

“We did not play well and we were not the team we wanted to be, but the best thing was we won the game. We lacked dynamics and did not move the ball well,” said Gerard Pique, the Barcelona defender, acknowledging Barca’s poor performance.

Thanks to that victory, Barca returned from the pursuit of Atletico Madrid who won the match against Rayo Vallecano with a score of 1-0. Both are seven points adrift. While Real Madrid will play against Girona on Sunday (17/2) at 18.00 WIB.

From England, there are no Premier League matches that are replaced by FA Cup fifth round. Manchester City continued their momentum through a landslide 4-1 victory over Newport County on Rodney Parade.

The four Citizens goals were scored by Leroy Sane (51 ‘), Phil Foden (75’ and 89 ‘), and Riyad Mahrez (90 + 4’). It ensured that Man City were the only team to compete in four competitions. In addition to the FA Cup, Pep Guardiola’s side are also still competing in the Premier League, League Cup and Champions League.
