Barcelona’s Revenue Reaches $1M

DBasia.news – Barcelona announced that they succeeded to gain the $1,05 billion for the 2017-2018 fiscal year. This result made Barcelona as the first sports club who got the revenue exceeds $1 billion. Moreover, this is the 8th year Barcelona consecutively always achieved the profit.
Barcelona’s big contribution and a boost of revenue came from the broadcasting license of the Champions League. Besides, another contribution also came from Neymar’s selling to Paris Saint-Germain.
“The extraordinary income from payment of Neymar Jr’s buyout clause has been compensated in next year’s budget through improved commercial and sponsorship revenue, media rights, exploitation of the stadium and transfer of players,” the club said in a statement.
“This is the first time that revenue has surpassed $1bn, a huge step up from 2016/17.”
