DBasia.news – One and a half season with Manchester City, Bernardo Silva has adapted really well with England football culture and the club. Due to his quick adaptation, Silva always performs regularly and becomes the prominent player of Man City.
Manchester City spent £50M when they signed Bernardo Silva from AS Monaco in July 2017. At that time, there was a negative rumor saying City paid too high for the Portuguese national team player.
Just like another new player, Bernardo Silva faced the difficulty during his early arrival. He was just the second choice for Pep Guardiola in the midfield. But, slowly, he proves himself.
This season, Bernardo Silva consistently plays as the midfielder of Manchester City. So far, the 24-year-old player created 7 goals and 7 assists in 28 caps. Silva admits that he blends with The Citizens performance.
“When you change you need to adapt to the club, your new team-mates, the way the manager wants you to play,” he told Sky Sports.
“It’s one more season so I am used to playing here, I am confident, I feel a better player because I have learned so much over the last year-and-a-half with my team-mates, the staff, and the manager. I think I am a better player than when I first arrived at Manchester City.”
“You know when you arrive at one of the best clubs in the world it won’t be easy to play. The amazing players that we have in our squad, you cannot play all the games, it’s impossible. I wanted to come here but I knew it wouldn’t be easy to start straight away in the team and play all the games,” Silva continued.
Bernardo Silva would play again in the upcoming match at Huddersfield home, John Smith’s Stadium, on the 23rd-week of Premier League. Sergio Aguero and friends need three points to cut the gap with the table leader, Liverpool.
“Now I am feeling good and helping the team and doing better than last season. I want to keep going in the same way,” Silva insisted.
