Brendan Rodgers: His Team is used to being Underestimated
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Temporary runner-up of the English Premier League, Leicester City is often overlooked in the struggle for the English league title.
However, Leicester coach, Brendan Rodger, admitted that his team was used to being ignored by many in the hunt for the highest trophy in England.
Leicester has set a record with eight consecutive wins in the league after beating Aston Villa 4-1 on Sunday to stay eight points clear of Liverpool, while defending champion, Manchester City, are third and 14 points behind the Reds.
“I don’t think anyone would have thought we were near the top,” Rodgers said.
“That doesn’t really upset us, I guess that’s part of the game.”
“After Manchester United won over Manchester City, information emerged after the match about how far Manchester City was from Liverpool. We appreciate that and we just continue our work.”
