“No (the opportunity to join Manchester United). As an explanation at the start, I am a number 18 player. Right now the number is worn by Bruno Fernandes. So, sooner or later, that will be a problem. However, I’m just kidding!” Jota said as reported by Record.
Diogo Jota did not rule out the possibility of defending Manchester United in the future. However, he consider that the decision to leave is not something that should be considered at this time.
“It always feels good to see your name associated with a big club. However, I also know this is not an important issue at the moment. Let’s see what will happen with the corona virus pandemic situation as it is today,” Jota continued.
Diogo Jota and Bruno Fernandes are two players from Portugal. If Fernandes spent much of his early career in Boavista, Diogo Jota was in Gondomar.
