DBasia.news – Bruno Fernandes is currently a big threat to Premier League teams. His brilliant performance equaled Cristiano Ronaldo’s record at Manchester United.

Fernandes, who was bought from Sporting CP in January, becomes the main key of Manchester United’s revival after the Premier League continued. The 25-year-old player scored 5 goals and 3 assists from 6 matches, with three of them scored in June.

That performance earned him the Player of the Month award in June by the Premier League. He won the best monthly player for the second time.

The first, Fernandes won the Player of the Month title in February. After March, April and May the competition was suspended due to the corona pandemic, Fernandes won it immediately in June.

Thus, Fernandes also recorded winning the title of Player of the Month in a row. Reported by the official MU website, the achievement made Fernandes matches Ronaldo’s record, former Manchester United player in the 2003-2009 season.

Ronaldo is the last MU player to be able to win the Player of the Month title in a row. The star, who also came from Portugal and now plays for Juventus, won it in the 2006/2007 season, in November and December.

Fernandes himself became the latest player to win it in the Premier League recently. The last time was Liverpool striker, Mohamed Salah, can do it, which was in March and April 2018.

To win the Player of the Month title in June, Fernandes set aside several names. He defeated teammate Anthony Martial, as well as players from other teams who are Danny Ings (Southampton), Conor Coady and Raul Jimenez (Wolverhampton Wanderers), and Allain Saint-Maximin (Newcastle United).

In addition to the June Player of the Month title, Fernandes was also rewarded with the Premier League’s Goal of the Month in June. He made a cool goal in Manchester United’s 3-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.
