DBasia.news – Silently, Villareal midfielder Santi Cazorla is admiring his former coach in Arsenal, Arsene Wenger. He said that he would never forget Wenger’s support when he got injured.
Cazorla just returned to the pitch after the severe Achilles injury in 2016 when he was supporting Arsenal.
Cazorla left Emirates Stadium this summer and joined Villareal with free transfer status.
Returning to Spain, Cazorla played in three consecutive matches in the LaLiga.

“Arsène always supported me,” Cazorla told The Guardian.
“He renewed my contract before the first operation, which was an incredible gesture.
“He called me in: ‘Santi, I’m going to give you the optional year. It’s here, sign it, have your operation with peace of mind.’
“That helped me focus on my rehabilitation without fear. I’m eternally grateful for that.”
“The people love me there and I’ll always have a connection with Arsenal, so much affection.”
