DBasia.news –  The more challenging it is for Manchester United to qualify for next season’s Champions League is believed to change the club’s transfer policy. According to Gary Neville, club legend, United will massively spend on players in the transfer market.

David De Gea returned to the spotlight after making a blunder on the match against Chelsea. The problem is, the chances of Manchester United qualifying for the Champions League are increasingly winding.

Manchester United were ahead through Juan Mata’s goal in the 31st minute. However, Marcos Alonso equalized two minutes before the first half ended.

The draw made Manchester United three points adrift of Chelsea who are ranked fourth. The Red Devils are increasingly on the verge of having a much lower goal difference.

If not in the Champions League, Manchester United is predicted to be challenged in bringing in the target player. Neville believes that the Red Devils need to spend more funds to persuade the player to join.

“I think when players choose football clubs, they want to be competitive, win the trophy and compete in the Champions League,” Neville told Sky Sports.

“If you choose between two clubs based on salary, you can choose someone else. Manchester United has a big income and gets players,” commented Neville.

“It will only make them more expensive to get the players they want. Manchester United is still a big football club,” said the ex.

Manchester United had been linked with a number of players, especially at the back post. Reportedly, the Red Devils monitors Napoli defender, Kalidou Koulibaly.
