DBasia.news – The surprise in 2019 winter transfer market continues. So far, the transfer since January 1st is still wide open.

Chelsea are one of the most active clubs. The Blues signed Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund worth £58M. Pulisic would lend to Dortmund before leaving on summer.

Not only signing the new players, but Chelsea also doing the transaction of exit players. Europe transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano said Cesc Fabregas would be Monaco player for three years.

“Cesc Fabregas will be new Monaco player. Done deal and three-years contract,” tweeted @FabrizioRomano.

During his five-year period with Chelsea, Fabregas has played 198 caps, scored 22 goals, 57 assists, and two Premier League titles, one FA Cup, and League Cup.

The Spaniard 31-year-old midfielder left because he seldom plays this season under Maurizio Sarri. In Monaco, Fabregas will reunite with his former teammate in Arsenal, Thierry Henry who is currently the coach.

Fabregas would face the high target to help Monaco escape the relegation zone this season. His experience and capability are expected to help Radamel Falcao and friends in the second half.

Football-Italia reported Chelsea are preparing Fabregas’ successor. He is the 21-year-old midfielder from Cagliari, Nicolo Barella.

Chelsea have prepared 45 million euro to sign Sardinia’s Steven Gerrard to the Stamford Bridge. Cagliari want 50 million euro from the transfer.

Barella isn’t popular yet in Europe. But in Italy, he is well known. Besides the technical skill, Barella has the energy to defend and attack.

Italy national team coach Roberto Mancini admits his quality and signed him to the squad. Since the debut last year, Barella scored four caps with Gli Azzurri.

“Barella is phenomenal. I saw his skill and he has a great character,” Mancini said recently.

The temptation to play in the Premier League with a big club like Chelsea would allure Barella.
