DBasia.news –  The search rescue of Cardiff City striker Emiliano Sala just stopped a few days after Pier Malibu plane lost in the Channel Islands. Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante hopes the search continues and he would fund the operation.

Emiliano Sala and the pilot, David Ibbotson, lost during the flight from Nantes to Cardiff, January 22nd, 2019. Three days after the search operation, the authority stopped the search.

It’s rumored that his plane went missing in the extreme sea of Channel Islands. The situation made it difficult to find Sala.

“My team have just met to review the search and rescue operation which has been underway since the plane disappeared on Monday night,” said Guernsey Police at Sky Sports.

“Despite the best efforts of air and search assets from the Channel Islands, UK and France, which has covered an area of approximately 1,700 square miles – with a significant amount of this searched more than once – and having examined mobile phone data and satellite imagery, we have been unable to find any trace of the aircraft, the pilot or the passenger.”

“There has been over 24 hours of continuous searching, with 80 hours combined flying time across three planes and five helicopters. Two lifeboats have also been involved, as well as assistance from various passing ships and fishing boats.”

“We reviewed all the information available to us, as well as knowing what emergency equipment was on board, and have taken the difficult decision to end the search. The chances of survival at this stage are extremely remote. My thoughts go out to the family of the pilot and passenger at this most difficult of times,” said the statement.

The decision raised the response from many people, including N’Golo Kante who was his teammate in Caen during 2014-2015. TimesSport reported the French player agreed to fund the operation.

As a note, Kante is the highest-paid player in Chelsea. The generous player got an Rp5,4 billion annual salary.

Previously, megastar Lionel Messi also asked the authority to find Sala. Messi believes there’s still hope for Cardiff most expensive player.
