DBasia.news –  AS Roma legend Francesco Totti revealed that Antonio Conte had agreed to dock at the Olimpico, before finally anchoring at Inter Milan.

Totti has just retired from his position as Director of Rome. He was at loggerheads with President James Pallotta.

“I then spoke with Antonio Conte. He has given ‘Okay’ to become Roma’s coach. Then, he went to Inter,” said Totti.

Totti also asserted, he never targeted the signature of Maurizio Sarri who has now moved to Juventus.

“I never contacted Sarri. I did not know what the purpose or evaluation was, only Sarri was Baldini’s favorite. Of course, he is a great coach who will do well here, but he is still under contract with Chelsea. After all, this is irrelevant. We have to talk about the present.”

In the end, Roma chose Paulo Fonseca as the new coach. His last name was successful at Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk.

“Fonseca must find a relaxed environment, with a clear path in front of him. From what I see, he is a good coach who can do well and is very impressive at Shakhtar,” Totti added.
