DBasia.news – Juventus’ failure in the Champions League this season is believed to have frustrated Cristiano Ronaldo. La Repubblica reported, Ronaldo was frustrated and would not complete his contract with Juventus.
Juventus’ trip ended in the Champions League quarter-finals. Massimiliano Allegri’s team lost 2-3 aggregate goals from Ajax Amsterdam after losing 1-2 in the second leg which took place in Turin. Two goals that Ronaldo created could not save Juventus.
Though the end of last week, Allegri deliberately rested a number of core players and Ronaldo while against SPAL in the hope that they could appear fit against Ajax. The failure has allegedly upset Ronaldo.
It’s no secret that the 34-year-old player always has the title hunger and desire to be a champion – the character that makes him one of the best players in the world. Juve’s failure to win the Champions League title was very frustrating.
Ronaldo was brought in from Madrid for more than 100 million euros this season from Real Madrid to win the Champions League title, which was last won by Juve in 1996. Unfortunately, it’s not that easy for Juve to reach it.
La Repubblica believes Ronaldo will only finish his journey with Juventus until the 2019-20 season, not until 2022 or when his contract expires. Ronaldo will see the development of the Turin team until 2020.
Added by La Gazzetta dello Sport, both Ronaldo and Juventus are currently not speaking to each other following a failure in the Champions League. Ronaldo also wants more recruits in the summer, while the club also has high hopes to the player.
Ronaldo, who has scored 19 goals this season in Serie A, will now only try to hold Serie A’s personal top scorer (Capocannoniere) while helping Juve win the Scudetto for the eighth time in a row.
