DBasia.news – Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, revealed the latest conditions from Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah’s injury. The last name mentioned was injured after Liverpool played against Newcastle United in Week 37 of the Premier League, Sunday (5/5) WIB.
Liverpool won an important 3-2 victory over Newcastle. That way, the chances of Liverpool winning the Premier League title are still burning.
However, the victory must be paid with the injury of Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian player collided with Newcastle United goalkeeper, Martin Dubravka. Not wanting to take the risk, Klopp pulled Salah out and replaced him with Divock Origi in the 73rd minute.
“He was hit by the goalkeeper’s waist on the head and then fell to the ground. The doctor had to make a decisions on the field and outside the field. The decision was that Salah had to be pulled out and of course we accepted it,” Klopp said.
“When we entered, he sat in the locker room and watched the match. He was fine, but of course we had to wait. He got the right thing in certain situations,” continued the manager.
Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp doubted Roberto Firmino could strengthen Liverpool at home to Barcelona in the 2018-2019 Champions League semi-final second leg, Tuesday (7/5). Klopp revealed, currently Firmino is still recovering.
“No, he won’t be ready for Tuesday’s match and for the end of the season, we’ll see,” explained Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool swallowed a 3-0 defeat to Barcelona in the first leg. Inevitably, the Reds step to advance to the final is very heavy.
