DBasia.news – Dani Ceballos took advantage of his participation in the Under-21 European Cup. Ceballos appeared great with the Spanish Under-21 national team and seemed to be giving a message to his coach at Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane.
How not, Ceballos’s appearance lifted La Rojita – the nickname of the Spanish Under-21 national team – in the Under-21 European Cup group phase. Despite losing 1-3 from the host, Italy, in the first group match, Spain rose to win two consecutive wins.
Spain won 2-1 against Belgium (19/6) and continued a landslide 5-0 victory against Poland (23/6). Ceballos scored his second goal in the tournament when he listed his name on the scoreboard against Poland.
Luis de la Fuente’s Spain leads with a five-star performance against Poland through goals scored by Pablo Fornals (17′), Mikel Oyarzabal (35′), Fabian Ruiz (39′), Ceballos (71′), and Borja Mayoral (90′).
The two consecutive wins led Spain to the knockout stages of the Under-21 European Cup. Ceballos’s fine performance, which not only scored but also became a motorbike for the Spanish attack, of course not missed by Real Madrid fans.
They have great talent bought two years ago from Real Betis for 18 million euros, but, rarely play under the direction of Zidane. The tight competition in the Los Blancos squad is the cause.
“Zinedine Zidane is not a fan of the Spaniard (Ceballos) and has rarely played since starting to train Madrid back in March,” wrote Jesus Mata, author of Marca, in his article.
“Many predict Ceballos will leave and Julen Lopetegui wants him in Sevilla, but, after seeing him in action for Spain Under-21s this summer, he seems very suitable for Real Madrid.”
Ceballos, quoted from the @Scoutedftbl account, has statistics that are superior to his teammates including the most touches of the ball, the most passes, key passes, number of shots, successful dribbling (14), winning offenses (11 times) and most assists (two )
Given the age of Luka Modric who has been over 30 years and Isco is rumored to leave another club, Ceballos can be a substitute for both in terms of managing the attacking team.
Ceballos has ‘given feedback’ through the Under-21 European Cup event. Now everything depends on Zinedine Zidane, will he ‘receive the bait’?
