Darren Fletcher promoted to be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s companion at MU

DBasia.news – Former Manchester United midfielder, Darren Fletcher returns to Old Trafford as one of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s coaching staff.

Fletcher who strengthened the Red Devils from 2003 to 2015 was a graduate of the MU academy. Previously, Fletcher was the coach of the Man United U-16 team.

“Darren has the United DNA running through his veins and he knows exactly what it takes to be a Manchester United player,” said Solskjaer.

“He is already early in his coaching career and his experience both on and off the pitch together with his winning mentality, commitment and hard work will be a great addition to the coaching staff,” he continued.

Fletcher, who has played for the Scottish national team 80 times, also played for West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City, will join Mike Phelan, Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna as part of Solskjaer’s support staff.

“It’s been a very exciting time for this young team and I look forward to taking the next step in my coaching career working alongside Ole and his staff,” stated Flecther.
