David De Gea Discusses Manchester United’s Performance This Season

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea thinks the Red Devils inconsistency is due to a lack of quality team play.

De Gea denied that United’s players showed less effort when competing. He would rather agree that United’s players this season are not qualified.

“I don’t think it’s a matter of trying less, the players showed their maximum effort in training and when competing. But you can see a matter of quality in several lines.” David de Gea was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail, Saturday (11/30/2019).

Alluding to the defeat of United from Astana in the Europa League, de Gea said that his colleagues did play poorly. In fact, he called United’s first-round game against Astana the worst this year.

“We really did look bad in the first round. It might be one of the worst matches of the year,” he said.

“While in the second half, the team reacted quite well. Unfortunately, it was not enough for us to win,” he added.

De Gea also hopes that in the rest of the season, United’s game can show a graph of change. He said there were four to five matches that had to be closed with a win at the end of this year.

“We have to win the match to be in the best position. We have to win four or five games in a row in the remainder of the match this year.” Closed de Gea.
