Defeated over Burnley, #OleOut and #SackWoodward Becomes Trending

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Manchester United unexpectedly surrendered 0-2 from Burnley in the 24th week of the English League 2019-2020, Thursday (1/23/2020) AM. As a result of the defeat, two hashtags that were echoed by Man United fans immediately became trending on Twitter, those are #OleOut (Ole Gunnar Solskjaer out) and #SackWoodward (fire Woodward).

Manchester United have consecutively lost in the last two games. First from their main rivals, Liverpool, then defeated when hosting Burnley.

Moreover, Manchester United have not lost to Burnley since 1962 at home. Of course these results are an embarrassment for a club as big as the Red Devils.

As a result, the song that ousted Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ed Woodward was heard at Old Trafford. On social media, Manchester United fans also uploaded the hashtags of OleOut and SackWoodward.

After the match, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said the attitude of the Manchester United fans were reasonable. However, Solskjaer felt it was not the time to mourn for fate.

“Today’s result is not the end of everything. Because in the end, when you can feel it is not according to expectations, as you wished. Maybe fans feel that way,” said Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

“However, for Manchester United, we must stick to what we believe. We must believe and know there is no point in lament on fate.”

“Manchester United need to get through exhaustion, not in the next three matches. The players are physically and mentally exhausted,” he continued.

The defeat has made Manchester United increasingly be behind Chelsea in the 2019-2020 Premier League standings. The Red Devils are six points from Chelsea.
