DBasia.news – Manchester United defender, Chris Smalling, admitted his disappointment for reaching a balanced result against Valencia in the Champions League.
Smalling’s disappointment is really big because he thought Manchester United played really well throughout the match against Valencia.
Statistically, the host were less dominant in ball possession. Moreover, Jose Mourinho squad were more aggressive in scoring 10 shots. Meanwhile, Valencia just did half.
“I feel there was more intensity and I felt that we deserved a goal, especially with the second-half performance. But, I think you could tell as we walked off the pitch that we were disappointed because we knew how much three points would have set us up in the group,” Smalling said.
Smalling added, Man Utd are stronger in every match. Hence, Smalling hopes the performance will develop in the match against Newcastle United in the Premier League this week.
