DBasia.news – Paul Pogba’s performances with France national team and in the club level with Manchester United are in contrast.
France national team coach, Didier Deschamps raised his voice. Specifically, he defended Paul Pogba’s performance with Manchester United. Deschamps assumed Pogba can’t play by himself.
Paul Pogba performed very well with France national team in 2018 World Cup. Moreover, Pogba helped Les Bleus achieving the second World Cup trophy throughout the history.
However, Paul Pogba got a difficulty in replicating the same performance with Manchester United. Moreover, his relationship with manager Jose Mourinho is bad.
Mourinho withdrew the captain of Manchester United’s position from Paul Pogba. Both seemed to have an argument in the training on Wednesday.
Consequently, Pogba failed to deliver his best performance with Manchester United. The 25-year-old midfielder often got critics from The Red Devils’ fans.
However, Deschamps who handled Paul Pogba in France national team defended him. The former Juventus coach believed Pogba is depending on the teammates.
“For Paul it depends not only on him but also the team he is in, the collective way of playing,” Deschamps said.
“It is not a case of one player who makes the team win. There are a few things people ought to know. Maybe it is because he is a bit eccentric, a bit demonstrative.”
“He’s been in the national team since 2013 and he’s always thought about the collective. There’s this idea that he’s a bit individualistic and only thinks about himself but that’s not the case at all. I think that’s one thing that needs to be said,” Deschamps continued.
