DBasia.news – Manchester United’s revenue and profit are currently declining. However, Ed Woodward isn’t worried about that. The Red Devils Executive Vice-Chairman believes United are still the magnet of Europe top football players.
The result isn’t so good: Man United’s revenue and profit have dropped. It’s not drastic, but it’s a bad news for The Red Devils amid the difficult and inconsistency of the team this season.
The revenue and profit are dropped since fewer home matches and short summer tour due to the 2018 World Cup. Also, the salary upgrade of the players like Alexis Sanchez, Diogo Dalot, Fred, Luke Shaw, and Marouane Fellaini.
Nevertheless, Woodward believes Man United still attract Europe top players. He also believes that United could recruit him in the transfer market.
“Our financial strength enables us to continue to attract and retain top players and to invest in our academy, as we look to drive the success on the pitch that the club and our fans expect,” Woodward told Standard Sports, Friday (16/11).
Woodward says so. But in fact, during this summer transfer market, he just gave three players for Jose Mourinho: Fred, Diogo Dalot, and Lee Grant. None of them developed United’s performance.
