Difficult to Bring Jadon Sancho, Manchester United Hunt Ivan Perisic
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Manchester United are reportedly considering making an offer to Ivan Perisic in the transfer market this summer.
The Croatian player actually had time to get close to Old Trafford after being hunted by Jose Mourinho while still managing the Red Devils, but Ed Woodward did not agree so that the transfer never happened.
However, the situation has changed, and with the club struggling to sign young talent Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, other alternatives are being considered.
The 31-year-old spent last season at Bayern Munich and the reigning Bundesliga champions Germany are interested in keeping him, but United are now in the competition.
The Red Devils will look to sign Perisic on loan for a full season, before returning to chase Sancho’s signature next summer.
However, United are at a disadvantage with Bayern’s interest in signing him permanently, as Inter also need funds to finance another transfer.
Another alternative to Perisic, United have also included Moussa Dembele, Joshua King and several others on the club’s target list this summer.
After hobbling in the first half of the 2019/20 Premier League campaign, United slowly got up in the second half of the season, especially after they brought in Bruno Fernandes.
In the end, the Red Devils managed to close the 2019/20 period by winning the top three positions, so they will automatically appear in the Champions League group phase next season.
Finishing in third position and appearing on the European scene made Ole feel the need to strengthen United’s ammunition for the 2020/21 campaign.
