DBasia.news – The international break might be both good and bad news for European clubs. The good news is related to the additional recovery time for the injured player, or the moment to reflect if they had a minor trend before the international break. The bad news: the peak moment of the team in pursuing the victory might be gone afterward.

Manchester United might be the “happiest” team ahead of the international break. Even though some prominent players in Jose Mourinho’s squad are defending their own national team, some injured players are recovering and coming back from the break. Diogo Dalot is one of them.

The Portuguese 19-year-old full-back has played his debut with United jersey in the U23 team after the 1-0 victory against U23 Stoke City. The match became his first performance after the transfer from FC Porto, also the first time after recovering from a severe knee injury last March. Dalot conducted the surgery successfully.

Though injured, Mourinho insisted on recruiting him from Porto and labeled him as one of Europe’s youngest and best full-back players. Now, the player who was born in Braga, March 18, 1999, is ready to pay off the trust from The Special One and ready to play on the pitch at any time.

“His history talks for itself. He’s a great manager, one of the greatest managers ever. Of course, it helps. The communication helps, too,” he told ESPN, Wednesday (5/9).

“He believes in me, that’s the most important thing. I’m hoping to repay that and give him what he wants from me,” the Porto Academy alumnus expected.

After the international break, The Red Devils will face six matches in 18 days of Premier League, Champions League, and League Cup. Hence, the good news of Dalot’s arrival will add the option for Mourinho in right or left defense, especially as the option for the 33-year-old Antonio Valencia.
