Duvan Zapata enters Manchester United transfer radar
By db-admin
DBasia.news – The attacker crisis made Manchester United linked with several of Europe’s top strikers. One of them is Atalanta’s attacker, Duvan Zapata.
Manchester United faces problems on the front lines. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had little choice after Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial suffered injuries. Now, Man United pin hopes on a 17-year-old player, Mason Greenwood.
Not surprisingly, Manchester United began looking for brand-new ammunition to carry on the upcoming transfer market. Man United is predicted to be difficult if they only rely on existing players. Moreover, Paul Pogba and his colleagues appeared in four competitions.
Calciomercato reported, Manchester United were monitoring Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata. The 28-year-old is at the peak of his career as an attacker.
Last season, Zapata was one of the keys to La Dea’s qualification for the Champions League. Zapata is often the answer when Atalanta faces a dead end.
As proof, Duvan Zapata scored 28 goals last season. Whereas, at the moment, the former Napoli player has created four goals in five 2019-2020 Serie A matches.
Based on Transfermarkt’s estimation, Duvan Zapata costs around 40 million euros. Meanwhile, the player’s contract is only left until June 2020.
Atalanta is predicted to make every effort so that Duvan Zapata is willing to sign a brand-new contract. Atalanta certainly does not want to lose the player for free.
Manchester United’s chances of bringing in Duvan Zapata: 40 percent
Duvan Zapata is a player of the type similar to Romelu Lukaku. He is an attacker who relies on physical strength. However, it is not an easy matter to make Atalanta willing to give the go-ahead.
