Eden Hazard’s transfer Saga finally ended too. The 28-year-old player anchored his career at Real Madrid after seven seasons at Chelsea.
Eden Hazard signed a five-season contract at Real Madrid. Later on, Hazard will be introduced at the Santiago Bernabeu on June 13, 2019.
The move to Real Madrid was proof of Eden Hazard’s dream. It’s no secret that Los Merengues has long targeted Hazard’s signature.
After officially moving, Eden Hazard claimed that he would not leave Chelsea if it were not for Real Madrid. Hazard felt fond memories while at Stamford Bridge.
“Leaving Chelsea is the biggest and hardest challenge of my career to date. I appreciated every time defending Chelsea,” wrote Eden Hazard in his farewell letter.
“Now, after everything is clear, I want to say something. I never thought of leaving Chelsea for another club, other than Real Madrid.”
“I was only 21 years old when I joined Chelsea. You helped me develop to become the captain of the Belgian national team. I always got support there,” the statement continued.
Eden Hazard defended Chelsea for seven seasons. During that period, Hazard won each of the Premier League and Europa League trophies, as well as an FA Cup and English League Cup.
