Europe Tournament Recaps: Real Madrid Handles Girona, Inter Fails Coppa Italia Semifinal

DBasia.news – Two European tournaments are held this week. Coppa Italia and copa del rey had both finished the tournament. Besides those events, Premier League has also held matchday 24 this past week.
Both match involved major teams and will be held friday (1/2) early dawn WIB (Western Indonesian Time) rivalry between Real Madrid vs Girona and Inter Milan vs Lazio. Inter and Madrid’s fate has taken a reverse spin.
Inter who hosted Lazio in Giusseppe Meazza got knocked out in the Coppa Italia quarter final. The game ended in a tie with no goals scored on the normal 90 minute time plus extra time. A new goal was scored on the extra round.
Ciro Immobile commenced the first goal of the match on the 108th minute. Repeatedly striking inter’s defence. Immobile scored a close range goal which had the ball almost deflected by Danilo D”Ambrosio. The position lasted for 12 minutes.
Stefan Radu, Lazio’s defender was discharged on the 120+4 minutes for allegedly critisizing the referee. A penalty was given and Mauro Icardi converted that penalty to a goal, dramatically equalizing Inter’s position to 1–1.
The match continued to a shootout drama and two penalty executor, Lautaro Martinez and Radja Nainggolan failed to score a goal. Thomas Strakosha managed to tackle Martinez’s kick. Meanwhile Nainggolan shoots across the croosbar.
From Lazio, only Riza Dumisi who failed to score in Samir Handanovic’s goal. Four other players who successfully managed to convert the penalty to a goal are: Immobile, Marco Parolo, Francesco Acerbi.
Lazio made it through to the semifinal and will challenge AC Milan. Meanwhile the rest of the semifinalists will unite with Fiorentina and Atalanta. Lazio will now be the only Italian team to fight in three competitions: Serie A, Coppa Italia, and European League.
In Spain, Madrid has no hurdle in making it to the Copa del Rey semifinal. In the second leg quarter final that took place in Montilivi, Madrid added 7–3 to their goal aggregate with a 3–1 win.
Karim Benzema scored 2 goals in the 27 and 43rd minute, one other goal was scored by Marcos Llorgente. The hosts only managed to reduce it with Pedro Porro’s goal. El Real has previously won 4-2 on the first leg, held in Santiago Bernabeu.
Madrid caught up with Valencia, Real Betis, and Barcelona, who was first to reach the semifinal. The results to the semifinal have yet to be held.
